Amid Coronavirus rampage, the European allies are furious by the response made by the USA. Now china with its propaganda offensive, The scourge that has been now announced as a pandemic by WHO, is having a shocking effect on global politics.

More than 130,000 people have been affected by the COVID-19 virus worldwide with the world already suffering from the surge of rising nationalism like US President Donald Trump who has jeer against the global decree.

A senior vice president at the Centre for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, John Alterman has said, “When the dust settles on the COVID-19 world, we won’t be in the same place that we were just a week ago.”

He expressed concern that the economy will crumble and face a major plunge and the government will be criticized for their sluggish response to the epidemic.

Trump had dismissed the risk of COVID-19 last Wednesday gaining a huge protest among the mass. And now he has put a 30-day ban on the travels from European countries to improve his previous response and declared to take necessary action against the “foreign virus.”

This move has stirred up a vicious outrage in the European Union. They condemned that they had not been recounted before determining the step and it has caused a tremendous panic at the airports bringing suffering to the passengers, which Trump has acknowledged.

Kelly Magsamen, the vice-president for national security and international policy at the left-leaning Centre for American Progress raised concern that this will put Washington in a bad position in the global platform. The world is now losing faith in the role of the US battling the state of affairs, no matter it is Coronavirus or nonproliferation or climate change and it will have a huge impact on other aspects of the relation between the countries.

Beijing, at first tried to smother any news leak regarding the COVID-19 that occurred in December, last year in a meat market in the Chinese city of Wuhan and even apprehended the doctor who first alerted the world of the epidemic.

Now President Xi Jinping has visited the city Wuhan to ensure the containing of the spread of the virus, and now helping the other hugely impacted countries like Italy and Spain with medical equipment. They are now utilizing the situation in their favor and against the US, who have been trying to moderate China’s influence worldwide.

It was revealed in the state-run Global Times that unless the US confiscates the restriction put on the tech company Huawei, they might stop exporting facial masks and medical gears in the future.

China and Russia have seemingly joined forces t sprout biased conspiracy theories against the US. On Twitter Chinese, foreign ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian has said that it was the US military force that bought the deadly Coronavirus to the city Wuhan.

On the other hand, U, which has already offered $100 million in aid globally, has put the blame solely on China for the outbreak. Even Secretary of state Mike Pompeo referred the disease as ‘Wuhan virus’ and Republican Senator Tom Cotton stated that the US will confront the ones that are responsible for the plague.

Michael Green, once top Asia advisor to former President George W. Bush said that though China is losing faith in many of its friends, it’s highly unlikely that the USA will win this argument.

Green, the senior vice-president at the Center for Strategic and International Studies also said that other countries in Asia have not been affected by the virus unlike the European countries and the role of American leadership is becoming uncertain.

He also added that Trump Administration has aggravated their ally South Korea with persisting demands on higher payments and there have been drawbacks with South Korea’s involvement to US bases and this could shift some major political accounts.

Xi Jinping, who has been like an idol, is now facing negative outbursts while the internet praises the doctors like 79-year-old US veteran Anthony Fauci, who is the head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.

Green pointed out that Brexit, Trump’s win in 2016 and other similar events proved that the technocrats have failed due to the Great Recession during 200 and the Iraq War.

“I think it’s very possible that the macro result this time could be that the political populists failed and it’s the technocrats who emerge as the heroes,” Green said. He hopes that this would change the political history of the world.
