As many as 30 injured in Floor collapse of Clemson University, South Carolina

At least 30 people were being injured when a floor collapsed at the party at Clemson University, South Carolina.

The Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity twelve-monthly homecoming party was just getting began when the floor gave way.

Police said some of the attendees got destroyed bones as they fell from the particular common area to the basement of the particular off-campus apartment complex.

Emergency responders were being at the scene in minutes, together with 23 people were taken to the hospital.

“Everybody was jumping, next thing you know… I can feel myself falling,” attendee Leroy Pearson instructed local news channel WSPA-TV. “I blacked out, and there [were] girls all over with blood all over their experience. “

One of the students, Larissa Stone told Greenville News that many people got hurt and were bleeding.

University president Jim Clements tweeted that will the “entire student support system will be available for any student impacted”, and thanked the unexpected emergency services for their help.

Attendees placed a video of the collapse online, which in turn features graphic footage and strong vocabulary.

“Clemson Student Affairs is working to determine how many of those injured were Clemson students, and to notify other institutions if one or more of their students were in attendance,” it reads.

The building in which the party took place at the Woodlands of Clemson apartment complex was supposedly built in 2004. Police said the investigation has begun.
