South Korea is the first country to launch 5G services

On Friday, South Korea is all set to launch the fifth generation services. They turned out to be the latest wireless technology with Samsung Electronics new 5G-enabled Smartphone Galaxy S10.

South Korea along with one of the world’s largest Smartphone Company is giving tough competition to China, the United States and Japan to market 5G. It is assumed that this technology will spur breakthrough in fields such as smart cities, and autonomous cars and also drives up its economic growth which slowed to a six-year low in 2018.

ON Wednesday, Ryu Young-sang, executive vice president at the country’ top mobile carrier SK Telecom said that the South Korean telecom companies are providing services and network meeting the customer’s high-quality speed and picture quality.

Ryu also mentioned that 5G will soon bring change in the landscape of the gaming industry. This will allow the minimal delay to be played on Smartphone.  This new technology is offering 20-times faster data speed that 4G LTE network.  This will become huge support for the AI and virtual reality with low latency.

On Wednesday, South Korean has spent almost billions on campaigns marketing 5G.  SK Telecom portrayed K-pop stars and an Olympic gold medalist as its first 5G customers.

Ryu informed that SK Telecom is presently working on a memory chip making affiliated SK Hynix build highly digested and linked factory powered by 5G technologies. By the end of 2019, the operator is expecting to have around 1 million customers. It has a total of 27 million consumers.

KT Corp Smaller rival is set to offer cheaper plans which are LTE service along with unlimited data and 4 years of installments to buy 5G devices.

In February one of the renowned Smartphone Company Samsung was the first to unwrap a 5G phone.  Some analyst said that when Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S10 5G and a around $2,000 folding Smartphone putting the world’s top Smartphone maker by volume in pole position in the 5G race.

Later in this month smallest rival companies, LG Electronics planned to release their 5G Smartphone in South Korea. On April 11, In the United States carrier, Verizon planned to launch its 5G network.
